Support is aimed at enhancing quality of life by identifying self care strategies and increasing personal and professional ongoing support to cope with possible mental health challenges.
We provide support with General Counselling, Suicide Prevention, Mental Health Counselling, Grief Counselling and Trauma Counselling.
Mental Fitness is an integral part of our overall health and as important as physical health. Your Mental Fitness is the unique way that you handle your emotions, respond to stress and also your general outlook on life.
We work with you to build your own Psychological Tool Kit that you can use when you are faced with challenges, obstacles, adversities, stresses and challenges in your daily life!
Mental health is a positive concept related to the social and emotional wellbeing of individuals and communities. Mental wellbeing and all that it encompasses are vital life components in their own right. They’re not something that exists as solely the absence of problems.
Having good mental health, or being mentally healthy, is more than just the absence of illness, rather it’s a state of overall wellbeing. Mental health and wellbeing are traits and skills that we continually develop and hone as we live a tumultuous and quality life.
Challenges are part of our lives that can create feelings of despair, sadness, anger, frustrations, being overwhelmed, and we cannot avoid it but we can learn how to effectively manage these challenges and increase our coping strategies to become more resilient to these challenges.
If we are able to understand and manage these feelings, we will be able to:
- Increase our self confidence
- build and maintain positive relationships with our loved ones
- start to have a purpose in life
- become more productive
- have the ability to manage our stress and anxiety better
- sense of self as independent rather than dependent on others for identity or happiness
- cope with changes as it occurs
- thriving in the face of adversity (emotional resilience)
Resilience is your ability to cope with change and adversity. By strengthening your resilience, you're better able to maintain good mental wellbeing through all of life's ups and downs.
In short, mental wellbeing is how we respond to life’s ups and downs.
We provide face to face counselling (subject to COVID19 restrictions), as well as telephone and video conference from the comfort of your own home. We are also available after hours, weekdays and weekends!
Our experience enables us to offer effective online or face to face individualised support and care. We support a number of mental health disorders, suicide prevention, general counselling, trauma support, grief counselling and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energise, and become aware of their inner strengths to deal with adversities and challenges through personalised counselling and support. We achieve this by engaging in a neutral safe space and empower you to take the next important step for your well-being.
